The Jackson Heights Art Club has been bringing art to the Queens community for more than 65 years. Since its beginning, the Club has been committed to furthering the knowledge and enjoyment of the visual arts among the people of Jackson Heights and adjacent communities in western Queens.

New Adult Class Begins April 3rd with Drawing Demonstration
In celebration of our new class, the public is invited to a one time demonstration of drawing technique on April 3rd, 6 PM at the Club Studio 35-50 82nd Street, Jackson Heights. The demonstration will be given by professional artist Alfredo Tomba. Mr. Tomba is also our new instructor for the Tuesday evening class. There is a contribution of $5 for those who wish only to attend the demonstration.
May 12-13 Annual Members Show and Awards
The annual Jackson Heights Art Club members exhibition will be on May 12 and 13. The public is invited to visit the exhibition from Noon until 9 PM, and to join us for the awards reception on May 12th from 6 to 8 PM at the Club Studio, 35-50 82nd Street, Jackson Heights.
On the Fence Outdoor Art Show

June 24, 2018 Painting Demonstration by Artist Despina Argyros
At a very young age, Despina Argyros began to draw whatever she saw and with the help of her artist grandmother, she developed her artistic skills. She studied art in Greece, and New York, studied with Basil Baylin and received her AAS degree from the Parsons School of Design. Her work includes a variety of subjects, such as still life, landscape and floral, but her favorite is portraits of people and animals. Utilizing mostly oil, watercolor, or pencil, she works from both photos and real life. She has exhibited at Queens College, the Hellenic Cultural Center in Astoria, NY, Flushing Town Hall, Clothesline Art Exhibition at the Guild Hall in East Hampton, and the Jackson Heights Art Club. Despina has been featured in the Art Calendar Magazine (now renamed Professional Artist) and on radio station Cosmos FM 9l.5. She has received numerous awards.
